During
your wedding reception, you will do a lot of dancing. It doesn't matter if you
are a good dancer or a bad dancer or even if you like to dance, your wedding day
is the one day you will be almost forced to dance. So if you're a little uneasy
about the thought of dancing in front of all of your friends and family members,
you may want to consider taking dance lessons.
It's
fun and easy to get started and you and your fiancé may really enjoy learning
something new. In the rush and stress that takes over your life in the months
prior to your wedding, it may be nice for you to take one evening a week and just
spend it together. You may want to take a dance fundamentals class which teaches
many of the basic steps of dancing. Other courses that are offered include:
- Country and Western Dancing
- Latin
- Tango
- Salsa
- Swing
- Scottish
- Waltz
- Fox
Trot
- Ballroom
- Jazz
- Modern
- The
Hustle
- Line
Dancing
After
you've mastered the fundamentals of dancing, you may want to learn a special dance
to perform for your first dance at your wedding reception. Think of how impressed
your guests will be to see that you not only learned to dance, but you can dance
well as a couple. This may require some coordination and some practice, but with
a little help from your instructor, you and your fiancé could put on quite
a show.
Knowing
how to dance will probably benefit you long after your wedding is over. Think
of the fun you could have on your honeymoon if your ship has an on-board club
or disco. You could also put your new skills to use at your friends' weddings.
You may even become so interested that you take advanced classes in the future.
